From aged 12, I attended the Purcell School of Music and Junior Royal Academy of Music. I continued my studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Royal College of Music and the University of Roehampton. I held the position of Co-Principal Bassoon with the Southbank Sinfonia and have played with many of the top UK orchestras, including the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Concert Orchestra.

I am a passionate and dedicated instrumental teacher (all woodwind and piano) and also teach at Broomfield House School, the London Oratory School and Eaton House the Manor School. I also work as a Music Therapist and teach for the Otakar Kraus Music Trust, providing specially adapted music lessons for children and young people with additional needs.

My teaching approach is friendly, patient and tailored to the needs of the individual. I incorporate a range of styles and genres into my teaching and provide a solid foundation in the areas of technique, music theory, rhythmic awareness and listening skills. I enjoy preparing and entering students for grades, should they wish to pursue these, and have a 100% pass rate. I also draw on my skills as a music therapist to build a positive, nurturing and enjoyable teaching environment.

Outside of music, I’m a keen runner and also enjoy spending time at my allotment.
